Tax Justice Seminar for Developing Countries

 


The South Centre and the Tax Justice Network are jointly organizing a Tax Justice Seminar for developing country members and observers of the United Nations Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters and other developing country representatives. The Seminar will be held on Monday, 30 October 2006, from 9am to 1:00pm, in Room XXV at the Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland

The Tax Justice Seminar aims to provide a broad overview of tax issues pertinent to developing countries immediately before the commencement of the 2nd Session of the United Nations Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters. The Seminar will be centred around presentations by two tax experts in order to bring in a capacity-building component on these issues but there will also be space for discussing any other issues falling within the agenda of Committee of Experts meeting.
