South Centre Side Event at UNCTAD XII

 

 

Trade, Commodities and Development: Perspectives on a Development Agenda in Commodities Trade

Venue:     UNCTAD XII Conference Centre, Accra

Chaired by: President Benjamin Mkapa, former President of Tanzania and Chairperson of the South Centre

Purpose of the event: Highlight the importance of taking action to address the problems linked to commodity dependence in developing countries, especially Africa.

Target audience: Government representatives (both developed and developing countries)-African countries, in particular; officials from IGOs, civil society in general, and media.
