This issue focuses on proposals for international financial and economic reform, in the light of the evolving economic crisis. The G20 Summit in London is only one marker of efforts to act on the global crisis. The UN General Assembly has also developed an important process,starting with a Thematic Discussion at the end of March, and culminating with a Summit-level session on the crisis in early June. This Issue of the South Bulletin focuses on proposals for international financial and economic reform, in the light of the evolving economic crisis.It contains an editorial on this issue, an article on the global reforms the South needs, a proposal for a new reserve currency system by China's Central Bank Governor, a report on the South's policy responses to the crisis and extracts of a South Centre statement on why the EPAs need to be reviewed and reformed in light of the crisis.
