SOUTH CENTRE'S PRESS CONFERENCE AT THE UN ON THE GLOBAL ECONOMIC CRISIS AND THE UN CONFERENCE 

June 22, 2009, New York

The South Centre held a press conference at the United Nations headquarters in New York on the global economic crisis. The Centre's Executive Director briefed the media on the Centre's views on the key issues for the UN conference on the global financial crisis, from the perspective of developing countries. The UN department of information issued a report on the press conference.

Mr. Martin Khor on Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action under the Convention (AWG-LCA)

During the 15th session of the AWG-LCA, the Chair organized a technical briefing to enable Parties to receive and share views on the concept of historical responsibility as a guide to future action to address climate change. Mr Martin Khor, Executive Director of the South Centre, made remarks to the concept and its application on historical responsibility and related concepts.
