South Centre Forum: Results of Rio+20 and the Future Sustainable Development Agenda, Geneva, 6 July 2012

In conjunction with the 29th Meeting of the Board of the South Centre, and in view of the great interest of the Geneva international community regarding the outcomes of the UN Rio+20 Conference on Sustainable Development, recently concluded in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 20-22 June 2012, the South Centre held a half-day forum on the Rio+20 Summit, its follow-up, and the future Sustainable Development agenda entitled “Results of Rio+20 and the Future Sustainable Development Agenda”.

Participants in the forum shared their own thoughts and perspectives, including on the possible contributions that the Geneva missions of the South can provide to the Rio+20 follow-up processes that will be taking place at the UN General Assembly in New York.

The forum will take place in Room XVIII, Palais des Nations, from 9:30-13:00h, on Friday, 6 July 2012.
